learn the language of your body. flow from fed up to well fed.

JUNE 17th - 23rd, 2019 BARCELONA, SPAIN

The Embodied Glowing Goddess Retreat is based on the framework from which all of my offerings are born and which guides you steadily toward Glowing Goddess Guru Beast Mode.

Glowing Goddess Guru Beast Mode: noun the version of YOU that has way more pressing things to do with her life than agonize over her body and the foods she eats. She is on a mission to live her fullest life, and this means being the most resplendent light she can be; empowered and confident, she flows through life with purpose and JOY.

The goal of this retreat is to envelop you in a nourishing revolution of yoga, food, and soul, which leads you through a deep journey within yourself.

It took me six years to learn the language of my body—the tools and techniques I practice daily—and it all culminated on one of the tallest summits in Park Güell (Barcelona). This is why I take women to Barcelona. This week long retreat is not only a way to step back from your every day life by journeying to a beautiful city, but it is also a journey into the beauty of YOU. Daily yoga, gluten free + vegan meals, local excursions, and holistic healing alongside daily coaching will lead you to love the food you eat, live the life you love, and ditch guilt and regret.

When I look back over it all And I wonder how I got here, I realize…

All the seemingly disparate parts and pieces have come together.

I was learning the language of my body. It doesn’t speak in cleanses or detoxes. It doesn’t speak in exercise regimes. Control. Tyranny. Being a slave to rules.

Barcelona. A city of modernism. Gaudi. No straight lines. Elements of nature in everything. All with a solid foundation of ironwork.

This is the language of the body. No straight lines. Deeply connected to nature. A solid foundation of the bones of the body (we can’t change those)

I’ve moved from fed up to well fed. I continue moving in that direction.

You, too, can flow from fed up to well fed.

This 7-day revitalizing retreat will unite body, mind, & spirit through yoga—transforming you into a yogi on & off the mat; guide you to find peace with food & your body—without requiring the approval of your scale; and lead you to listen to the whisperings of your soul—remembering who you truly are & what you want.

Each day will begin with an energizing all levels yoga practice, followed by brunch. Our days will be filled with holistic healing, like integrative nutrition workshops, group coaching, cooking lessons with fresh ingredients from the local markets, Reiki, and holistic massage. There will also be a few excursions to explore Barcelona! Each evening we'll enjoy dinner together (both prepared by our private chef AND out on the town) and a Yoga Nidra practice.

Join in for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in the capital of Catalunya, with its unique personality, traditions, and culture, and connect with your own sweet spirit.

This is an all women's retreat, and there are a limited the number of participants (only 10 spaces) to ensure that everyone gets the fullest experience possible.

Sample Schedule: 8 – 10 am: Morning Yoga 10 – 11 am: Brunch 11:30 – 1:30 pm: Workshop/Coaching Session 2 – 3 pm: Lunch Free time 4:30 – 7 pm: Meditation, Breathing, Excursion, Reiki Session, Holistic Massage, or cooking class 7 – 8 pm: Dinner 8:30 – 10 pm: Yoga Nidra

6 nights of accommodation

Held at the Barcelona Yoga Weeks retreat centre, a big and beautiful modernistic house in the heart of Barcelona. The centre is located in a nice and quiet street, yet minutes’ walk away from the central gothic neighbourhood and a 10 minute walk away to the beach of Barcelona.

Daily group breakfast & dinner

Each meal will be gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian, and will be a chance for community and shared mindful eating. Meals will be an opportunity for connection, coaching, questions, and SAVORING.

Five workshops/ coaching sessions

A health journey is a circular staircase rather than a straight line from the bottom to the top. Imagine you’re throwing small pebbles at a glass window. One pebble isn’t enough to make the window shatter, but one may make a small hairline crack. Another may deepen that crack. Eventually, the whole window may shatter. You'll have pebbles thrown your way all week.

Morning and Evening Yoga

Each morning will begin with an all levels, energetic yoga practice, and our evenings will close with a Yoga Nidra session. Should weather allow, rooftop yoga is available.

A Montserrat Hike

Montserrat mountain is the perfect day trip from Barcelona in terms of accessibility, distance and powerful, raw natural beauty. Montserrat, meaning serrated mountain, is an apt name for the jagged cluster of peaks located one hour outside Barcelona. Most of the trails have been cut into steps, so the technical rating for the trail is ‘easy’.

Private Reiki and Holistic Massage Sessions

Allow these sessions to reset your energy and fully immerse yourself in whole body healing.

Group guided tour of Barcelona

Barcelona is a unique spot in the Mediterranean. Barcelona which has developed in the recent years a great consciousness about wellbeing. The slow food movement has also rooted deeply in Barcelona, and the city has an incredible range of high quality local food with loads of vegetarian and vegan only cafés, restaurants and shops.

Group Sound Bath

Part meditation, part listening exercise, sound baths are healing musical performances. You'll relax on the floor in supported savasana (corpse pose) and let the waves of sound wash over you.

The Yoga Weeks center is located in the heart of Barcelona, behind La Boqueria Market (one of the oldest local food markets in the city). Right outside the doors of this welcoming, highly beautiful and comfortable space is immediate access to the amazing energy of Barcelona. THE place to walk and explore local food in a great buzzy market.

Exit La Boqueria right onto the popular street of Las Ramblas, one of the most beautiful promenades of the city and minutes walk from the seafront and the beach. The old Gothic Cathedral and Gothic neighborhood are mere minutes away by foot.

All rooms are spacious and carefully designed by one of the most creative and young design studios in Barcelona: PPT Interiors. The result is a welcoming, highly beautiful and comfortable center to stay, relax, socialize, and practice yoga. There is also an amazing rooftop located at the top of the building. A unique space (equipped with changing rooms and amazing outdoor showers) to practice Yoga while enjoying a great view: the sunrise and the sunset overlooking the city.

Brunch/breakfast is served after our morning class in the gallery, where there is a big breakfast table and sitting area. You'll be able to enjoy a beautiful and private outdoor patio with hammocks and showers where you can relax, sunbathe, and enjoy a chat. These spaces will become your relaxing areas during the day, where you can hang out, relax, meditate, and keep practicing with the center's yoga trapeze and mats.

You will also have access to a fully equipped kitchen and your own storage. Please note that Yoga Weeks strictly allows only vegetarian food in the house. There are many cafes and restaurants a few steps away should you wish to have non-vegetarian meals. Fresh tea and coffee will be available throughout the day.

You've been on a health journey for a long time... but you don’t feel as great as you want to feel.

You feel like food has a hold over you. You’re constantly thinking about what you can and can’t eat, what foods are ‘good’ or ‘bad.’ And when you allow yourself a “treat,” you feel totally out of control. (Me? I used to inhale a whole jar of almond butter in a single sitting.)

You’re frustrated with persistent low energy … even though you follow a “perfect” diet.

You’re kind of over all the juice cleanses, detoxes, and health resets. You’re ready to stop laying out hundreds or even thousands of dollars for juices, cleanses, pills, powders, and potions that promise the glowing health you long for....but don’t deliver.

You’re tired of hearing conflicting advice and not knowing what to believe. Drink skim milk and eat margarine. No, drink whole milk and eat full-fat butter. (I call this food confusion.)

Even though you try not to, you’re constantly comparing yourself to other women and punishing yourself with emotional eating, restriction, or over-exercising.

You are going to release food shoulds and body discomfort.

You already know you're meant for more than another magic bullet diet or "finally achieve the perfect butt" exercise plan.

You're eager to erase the voices reverberating in your head, a cacophony of media and workout videos and well intentioned public figures and diet books and shoulds and shouldn’ts and overall food confusion.

Frankly, there’s not a “Best By” date that can be blanketly stated for each and every woman who decides to embark on such a journey. However...

And you can jumpstart that journey in Barcelona. Allow this week long retreat, based in my nourishing revolution of yoga, food, and soul, to wash away the emotional bondage with food and flow into living in alignment with your deepest desires.

Hi, I’m Brittany, and I spent YEARS (literal YEARS) frustrated with food and my body. I hated my body. I hated food. I loved food. I wanted nothing more than to feel “normal” with food. I didn’t feel even a little bit normal with food. I didn’t want to punish my body with exercise anymore. I wanted to love my body. Trust my body. BE my body.

I’m an integrative health coach offering integrative nutrition, energy healing, and yoga science and application. I’m the owner and founder of The Soul Food Project, which is devoted to the power of a positive relationship with food and body. Through workshops, yoga, one-on-one coaching, speaking, and now a book (hell yeah!), I’m passionate about helping women flow from Fed Up to Well Fed through a nourishing revolution of yoga, food, and soul. My specialty is helping women release shame and control and learn how to regulate their own bodies, keeping happiness at the heart of healthfulness.

I’m a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher with training based in the lineage and teachings of Krishnamacharya. I studied with groundbreaking pioneers in the field of nutrition at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is accredited by Columbia University’s Teachers College and by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.

Will you join me in this revolution?

xo, Brittany Lynn Kriger

Because this retreat is limited to 10 women (& I anticipate lots of applications), I want to be very clear who this is for.

Please Apply If:

  • You are open minded, curious, and willing to experiment to relinquish old habits. Every woman in this group is going to face the devil she knows head on.
  • You are willing to invest time and energy into navigating your preconceived notions, which may include investing money in your health. I can help you figure out what to invest in, but you have to be willing to step up.
  • You dream of unconscious ease with food.
  • You fantasize about lazy mornings and sunshine filled breakfasts instead of powdered shakes and grueling exercise.
  • You want to be able to eat anything with no regrets.
  • You would love to be a person who does yoga and meditates; who is calm, centered, graceful, and wise. To be an urban yogi.
  • You read “Eat, Pray, Love” or “Wild,” and you know you have a similar adventure inside you, somewhere beyond the pain and the feeling of being stuck in too tight skin.
  • You want a plan and someone to talk to who will guide you to a life where you wake up every day feeling confident and beautiful and energetic.
  • You need support and a trustworthy confidante to tell those “middle of the night anxiety inducing” thoughts to.
  • You want to move past food frustration, not loving your body, and not living in alignment with your deepest desires.

Please Don't Apply If:

  • You don’t really want to challenge preconceived notions around dieting and control (Don’t worry, I have other resources for you, but this retreat isn’t it).
  • You have been in other similar retreat situations and haven’t made the time to do the work, show up for the calls, or interact with the other participants.
  • You are content with the status quo.
  • You have been diagnosed with an eating disorder that requires rehab/qualified help and you aren't working with a therapist or psychologist. (I will happily be a member of your overall health team, but this mastermind is not a replacement for diagnosed help.)
  • You are willing to spend money but not time, OR you are not willing to spend money or challenge your constraints,
